Why choose a wedding co-ordinator?

You have decided to get married, started to make the plans and have decided to speak to the best caterers in the area...why do you need a wedding planner? We are presuming you are in the early stages of planning, we can suggest the best photographers, florists, show you wonderful ranges of co-ordinating stationery, even receive your RSVPs. Suggest things to you which you might not have previously thought about, or if you have thought about, have you really the time to do the entire running about needed to ensure that this very special day is absolute perfection? So many of our clients say to us after their weddings "I am so glad you suggested a certain thing".

What we would do for you, even if you have already booked everything, is to bring everything together. As the wedding day approaches you will find that everyone wants to know something- the menus, the colours, the numbers etc. etc. this would be done through us, leaving you to enjoy the weeks before the wedding rather than it becoming stressful. We also offer a service where we are present on the day, we act as hosts but also we are available to co-ordinate activities within your home on the morning of the wedding. Who is going to receive the cake and set it up? Who is going to vacuum the marquee once the florists leave? As well as ensuring that all the gentlemen have their ties tied correctly and that everyone has eaten before leaving for the church we can ensure that everything is prepared for your arrival back.

We would ensure in the church that the ushers have their orders of service, that the bride is assisted from the car, and that her hair, veil, train etc.are all perfect. That all the bridesmaids look great and that the music starts at the correct time for the processional. Upon leaving the church we would ensure that the florist moves all the correct flowers and transports them to the reception, that all the guests know where they are supposed to be going and that the caterers are informed of your imminent arrival.

Once back at the venue we would ensure that the guests coats are received, the toilet facilities are pointed out and that the photographer gets all the people he needs for each shoot as quickly as possible. We would receive the presents, security check the house (for marquee weddings) and ensure the entertainment is in place. If required, we would stay until the end of the evening and ensure that the guests have taxis or that the coaches have left and everyone is on them!
